The Takapuna premier women ended a 17 year drought in claiming the minor premiership for the first time. The 4-0 win over Mahurangi gave them the championship with a game in hand.

This Course is a Hockey NZ accredited Course and will cover the following topics:-
1. Identifying and understanding the needs of young players
2. Understanding the skill requirements of players at this age
3. Communication, management and coaching strategies relevant to this age group
4. Understanding the practice and game requirements of this age.
If you are interested in coaching at a Junior Level (5-12 years old) - then this Course is FOR YOU!
Starts: Monday 24th May.

FAREWELL EDDY!
Previous club chairman - Brent Edwards (Eddy) is on the count down as he and his family prepare to move to Blenheim where Eddy is taking up a new role as Development Officer for Marlborough Hockey.
So lets make sure Eddy leaves in style - he will be pitched up at the Backyard Bar at The Poenamo Hotel this Sunday 18th April from 2pm. It’s a family friendly bar with a large garden bar so kids more than welcome.

The subs for the 2010 season are outlined below. Make sure you pay your subs by 1 April 2010 to be in the draw to win your subs back (one male and one female).
Training team - $390.00 + $20.00 (umpire levy) =$410.00
Non Training team - $350.00 + $20.00 (umpire levy) =$370.00

We are very excited to be welcoming Anita Punt into the club for the 2010 season. Anita is moving up from Nelson and is a member of the Black Sticks women’s team, who are preparing for a massive year, which includes the World Cup, Champions Trophy and Com Games. We are on the hunt for a vehicle that Anita can use while living on the Shore. If you have a car that is available for this period and you are able to help both Anita and the club, then please make contact with Eddy on eddyandmegan@xtra.co.nz or 021969963.
